Red Wagon Farm

Locations: 437 State Route 33, Manalapan, NJ and 136 Applegarth Road, Monroe Township, NJ

We’ll start our Halloween roundup with an attraction that provides fun for the whole family. If you have young kids, it can be challenging to find attractions that aren’t too scary, but Red Wagon Farm is just the ticket. The farm now has two locations, one in Manalapan and one in Monroe Township.

These farms offer the largest pick-your-own pumpkin patches in the entire state of New Jersey and offer over 100 varieties of pumpkins and gourds for you to choose. Whether you’re looking for pie ingredients, fall decor, or your next jack-o’-lantern, Red Wagon Farm is the perfect place to find it.

Aside from providing plenty of fall produce, Red Wagon Farm offers a range of fun activities for kids of all ages. One of the most popular attractions is the corn maze, which is one of the largest in the state. Another classic fall activity that the farm offers is hay rides. This is a great way to explore the farm and enjoy the cool fall weather. Your kids will also love the pony rides and petting zoo that the farm offers.

Entry to the farm is free, so if you’re just looking for pumpkins, you can pick them up without paying for anything extra. If you want to take part in any of the farm’s activities, each one is priced individually. This year, both locations will be open on Saturdays and Sundays between Sept. 17 and Oct. 30. Hours will be 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on each day they’re open. Make sure to swing by Red Wagon Farm this fall to get your pumpkins.

Oasis Island of Terror

Location: 3 Circle Drive, Robbinsville, NJ

Oasis Island of Terror is one of the largest and most popular haunted attractions in New Jersey. Unlike conventional haunted houses, all of the attractions are outside. The experience of the dark, autumn woods increases the terror and makes this one of the most memorable scares you’ll get this fall.

Oasis Island of Terror offers two primary attractions that each provide unique frights. The first is The Woods Have Eyes, which is the longest haunted walkthrough in New Jersey. The trail is over a mile long and offers plenty of opportunities for visitors to confront their deepest fears. Along the way, you and your friends will come face-to-face with all kinds of ghoulish terrors that wait in the dark woods.

The other experience that Oasis offers is the Blackout experience. This trail isn’t for the faint of heart and requires you and your friends to navigate the pitch-dark woods with only a single glow stick. Make sure you bring friends you trust, as you’ll have to work together to make it out.

During the day, the Island of Terror is transformed into a family-friendly pumpkin farm. The Oasis Family Farm offers a range of fun activities for the whole family, including pumpkin picking, a hay pyramid, a not-so-spooky monster trail for kids, and fall-themed refreshments like fresh apple cider.

Fright Fest

Location: 1 Six Flags Blvd., Jackson Township, NJ

Fright Fest is an annual Halloween event hosted by Six Flags parks around the country. Here in New Jersey, we have our own Six Flags: Great Adventure. Starting on Sept. 10, the park will offer a wide range of spooky attractions to celebrate the spirit of the season. During the day, Six Flags will feature a selection of slightly scary activities suitable for younger kids, while at night, the park will transform into a terrifying realm of Halloween-themed frights.

Visitors to Fright Fest will have access to six elaborately decorated areas, all festooned with Halloween paraphernalia. They can also enjoy nine different live shows, haunted mazes, and a trick-or-treat trail for the kids. Aside from all this, they’ll get to experience all the fantastic rides that Six Flags offers in a spooky nighttime atmosphere. Fright Fest ends Oct. 31, so be sure to get your tickets before they’re gone.

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres

Location: 881 Highland Road, Newtown, PA

Sleepy Hollow Haunted Acres is another of the fantastic haunted attractions that you can attend in the Trenton area. Located in Newtown Township, Pennsylvania, just outside Trenton, this outdoor theme park has all the scares you’re looking for this fall.

Sleepy Hollow includes three attractions: the haunted hayride, the outdoor Field of Fright, and House in the Hollow, which is a super scary take on a classic haunted house. If you’re interested in visiting this frightful farm, it will be open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Sept. 30 to Oct. 30. Places fill up quickly, so reserve your tickets online to guarantee entry.

That’s a quick overview of some of Trenton’s best Halloween attractions. Since there’s so much going on in the area, it’s impossible to list all of the great events that will take place this year. If you’re a local, feel free to drop us a line and tell us about your favorite spooky attractions in the Trenton area. We’d love to hear from you, and we’ll see if we can add them to the list. Have fun this Halloween, and we hope to see you soon at Hyundai of Trenton for all your automotive needs.
