These spooky attractions are the perfect way to celebrate the season of Halloween and can be fun for people of all ages. Trenton, New Jersey, is a great place to live if you enjoy a good haunted house, as our area includes some of the biggest in the nation.

Field of Terror

Location: 831 Windsor Perrineville Road, East Windsor, NJ 08520

The Field of Terror in East Windsor is New Jersey’s premier haunted farm. Based on the story of a rogue farmer who crossed human genes with his crops, it’s sure to provide plenty of fun for you and your friends. Throughout the farm, visitors will encounter a cornucopia of horrors, from zombies to an axe-toting farmer. At the Field of Terror, you’ll have the option of attending one of three events, the Karnival, Trail of Terror, and Timmery Manor.

If you’re looking for a less spooky event for you and your kids during the day, you can swing by the farm for a pumpkin patch, corn maze, and hay ride. The Field of Terror is open on weekends starting in September. If you want to go and experience the scares it offers, swing by its site and pick up some tickets.

Oasis Island of Terror

Location: 3 Circle Drive, Robbinsville, NJ 08691

Oasis island of Terror provides some of the scariest and longest haunted walk-throughs in the state of New Jersey. If you’re looking for a unique, outdoor take on the classic haunted house theme, Oasis might be just the thing for you. These are the two attractions that the venue will be offering this year:

The Woods Have Eyes

The Woods Have Eyes is a haunted walk-through attraction that stretches over a mile, offering chills and thrills at every turn. If you’re looking for a uniquely terrifying attraction that will test your nerves to the fullest, check out the Woods Have Eyes.

Blackout

Blackout is a heart-pounding adventure through the pitch-dark woods of the Island of Terror. While on the trail, you’ll only have a single glow stick to find your way out of the terrifying darkness. If you want to make it out, you’ll have to work closely with the friends you bring with you, so choose carefully.

If you want to check out the terrors of Oasis, you can purchase your tickets on the premises. If you want to walk The Woods have Eyes, the tickets are $30, while Blackout tickets cost $20. You can also get a combo pass for both attractions at $45.

Farm of Horrors

Location: 1051 County Road, 523 Flemington, NJ 08822

Another standout in the haunted farm category is the Farm of Horrors, located in Flemington. The venue includes over 200 acres of terrifying sights and sounds, including four main events:

• Hay Ride of Horror: Your journey into the heart of terror starts with the Hayride of Horror. This ride takes visitors through acres of terrifying apparitions for 45 minutes of pure thrills.
• Trail of Terror: Although you might make it through the Hayride of Horror, the scares are only just beginning. This eerie walk through haunted fields and graveyards includes a bunch of hair-raising visitors, including ghosts, ghouls, and monsters of all kinds.
• MassAcre Maize: If you’re looking for a horrifying take on the classic corn maze, MassAcre Maize is for you. As you stumble through the cornfield, you’ll encounter a terrifying gaggle of zombies with access to power tools and other nasty surprises.
• Carnevil of Chaos: The Farm of Horrors comes to a bone-chilling conclusion at the Carnevil of Chaos. This event will give you plenty of nightmares with its circus-themed scares.

The best way to experience these attractions is all at once. If you’re interested, you can buy a combo ticket for all four events for $30 online.

White Hill Mansion

Location: 217 W. Burlington St., Fieldsboro, NJ 08505

While not a traditional haunted house, Fieldsboro’s White Hill Mansion offers a unique and spooky experience. This Revolutionary War-period mansion is said to be one of the most haunted buildings in all of New Jersey, Although almost destroyed, members of the community went to great lengths to preserve the house and it still stands as a terrifying reminder of the community’s past.

If you want to explore the eerie history of the mansion, consider attending a candlelight tour. During this two hour event, you’ll receive a nighttime tour of the house and hear some of the scariest stories that it offers from real paranormal investigators. Brookdale Haunted Theater

Location: Brookdale Performing Arts Center, 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738

The Brookdale Haunted Theater is another unique holiday attraction that offers plenty of scares and thrills at a great price. Located on the Brookdale Community College campus, this normally peaceful theater transforms into a terrifying house of horrors all October long. The event is staffed by students of the university and is a great outing for you and your friends. Check their website for a complete schedule and ticket information.
